I’m Yasminatou, the founder of Bintou African Hair Braiding. Braiding has been a part of my life since I was a young girl. Growing up, I would spend hours learning traditional African braiding techniques from family and elders in my community. It was more than just hair, it was a way of connecting, sharing stories, and expressing beauty through culture.

When I moved to Georgia, I carried that same passion with me. Friends and neighbors started asking me to braid their hair, and word quickly spread. What began as a simple passion turned into a calling, and eventually into this salon.

For me, every braid tells a story. I love creating protective styles that not only look beautiful but also keep hair healthy and strong. My greatest joy is seeing clients leave the chair with confidence, pride, and a smile.
